Post on Siemens' Facebook page! Then comment here to let us know you've taken action.

Now will you amplify your impact by posting on their Facebook page?

Siemens is a global brand and is very sensitive to public criticism.

Comment on any Siemens’ post, asking them to rule out working with Adani (the post where Siemens shares their dream to 'make cities more livable, industry more efficient and society more sustainable' would be a good one to comment on – that vision doesn’t align with supporting coal projects, does it?!)

Tips for your Facebook comment:

  • Keep it short and punchy – people (including from Siemens!) are more likely to read a shorter post than a really long one
  • Have a clear ask – ask Siemens to rule out working with Adani
  • Make it personal – after all, this is your message to Siemens! Make it unique to you. You might want to share why you care about stopping projects that will fuel climate damage, like Adani, and protecting our planet

Siemens, please do not support coal mining in Australia (or anywhere) if you want a more sustainable world.

Essentially asking how a multinational company such as Siemens can justify to be involved in developing new coal mines and also be involved in building coal fired power plants in developing countries. Profiting from it all, and eventually killing us all.

Don’t install the signalling for the rail-line to Adani’s proposed coal mine

Keeping contract with Adani is breaking contract with the future to reduce emissions. Enabling new coal fired generators is shameful.

Dear Joe Kaeser

Very disappointing that you would take this comment: “The Australian people clearly voted to support Adani at the federal election in May 2019, especially in regional Queensland." , as a demonstration of what the people of Australia voted for in the last election.

The outcome of our election was based on a number of economic issues which were poorly understood. But a majority of Australians were then, and more so now, against another coal mine – not only for the damage that it poses to the local environment and the Great Barrier Reef – but more importantly it is time that we moved away from Coal. Global Warming/Climate Change has been with us for a century – escalating in recent decades and it is really time that mankind stand above profits and ideology.

We need to support clean energy.

I understand when you say – well if we don’t provide Adani with the service, someone else will – it is most probably true. But really – you could be the better man. You could say – well not on my watch. Not in my world and the world of the future generations.

Yours sincerely,
Marilyn Perring
