But the Nationals now say they want to retain the right to kill koalas.

Right now, state Liberal and National MPs need to hear that the community supports wildlife protection, not John Barilaro’s bulldozing tactics.
A recent report found over 5,000 koalas died in NSW during the Black Summer bushfires, with 80 per cent of some koala habitat burnt. It’s time to protect the wildlife we love, not destroy more habitat.
