At COP26 in Glasgow, the business world has turned up to join countries in committing to rapidly cut climate pollution this decade – essential to ensuring a safe climate. But not NAB.
NAB needs to hear that its customers, shareholders and the wider community won’t stand by as it continues to fund fossil fuels. Until NAB releases an ambitious policy and a real plan to end lending to gas and oil this decade, it will continue to lag on climate action.
With NAB's Annual General Meeting on December 17 – and the other big banks watching the reaction to it's announcement with interest – we need to call them out now.
