Weak laws are allowing big polluters to unduly influence our decision-makers and continue destroying the places we love. They donate millions of dollars at elections and, at other times, spend much more on lobby groups that stifle progress on renewable energy and strong nature laws.
Reforms can fix this and give people a stronger voice to stop polluters from using big money to get unfair access and undue influence to our decision-makers.
Hear from our partners at the Australian Democracy Network and from your local Member of Parliament, Kate Thwaites, on these issues at our inaugural democracy morning tea.
Connect with like-minded people in the community and our leaders over a cuppa and some light snacks provided by us.
Show your support for lobbying, political donation and electoral spending law reforms – so we can build a healthy Australian democracy which works for all of us, not just for the powerful few.
The venue is wheelchair accessible. For other accessibility questions, please write to Rastko.
