Join ACF’s Climate Change and Clean Energy Program Manager, Gavan McFadzean, as he shares first-hand how the funds you are raising will be used to solve climate change and protect nature.

Gavan has been a social justice and environmental activist for the last 25 years, working on some of Australia’s highest profile campaigns, including the national forest campaign, Jabiluka, Great Barrier Reef, Daintree Rainforests, Cape York and Kimberley, the Tasmanian Gunns Pulpmill, James Price Point and most recently the Queensland Adani coal mine.

He has represented the Australian environmental movement in international conservation and climate negotiations including at the Paris climate talks in 2015. He has been a recipient of Wild Magazine’s Australian Conservationist of the Year Award.

This session will cover the following:

  • Our collective climbing success - how many people we have climbing across Australia, and the funds raised so far!
  • Why climate campaigning is a priority and the threats to this beautiful planet (and Australia)
  • What ACF will do with the funds you are raising
  • Recent wins for this beautiful environment we all call home!

After you've registered for this session, you'll receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the Zoom meeting.

The session starts at 5:30pm AEST – so that's 5:30pm in ACT, NSW, QLD, TAS and VIC; 5pm in SA; and 3:30pm in WA.

We're really excited to share these important updates with you all. See you there!
