To the Queensland government,
From droughts to bushfires, Queenslanders are living with the impacts of climate damage here and now.
Queensland can be a leader in clean energy. We could be powering our homes, our towns and our economy with good energy and new jobs, powered by the wind and the sun.
If Queenslanders own our clean energy, we can create thousands of jobs we can be proud of and bring down power prices.
We are calling on you to make public investment in big renewable projects a priority, and act now to:
- Get on with climate action: set stronger pollution reduction targets, and rapidly replace coal-fired power with clean energy
- Build publicly-owned renewables, starting construction of at least one large project by mid-2020.
- Plan and fund a fair transition for workers in the energy sector.
Let's get on with it!

More Solar power Farms or Wind Farm would be desirable ASAP.
Let’s not be like NSW and sign up to addition gas projects. We have a great deal of natural resources to create energy without that.
We need to act immediately to implement renewable projects in great haste = NOW! please.
Anastasia Just do it! Asap. Thanks
We need action now to lead the way!
Get on with it and please forget Adani
Let’s do and stop talking about it!
This is just basic common sense and will provide many jobs for the future.
It’s time to stop denying the inevitable change that our earth is telling us she needs. I want to be proud to be Australian not embarassed that we are still digging up stuff and burning it for electricity like it’s 100 years ago.
The gov’t must act now. They must assist coal workers to transition to new jobs and a better future for everyone.
Climate change is the most critical issue facing us today. Please consider taking action now. The longer we delay, the more extreme climate events will become and the harder it will be to prevent them.
Please investigate the potential new jobs that will come be needed in managing environmentally sensitive, clean energy outputs by energy providers whose time frames for the necessary planning, building, installation and beginning of production will take a fraction of the time that is needed by the establisbment and maintenance of fossil fuel entities.
Get on with some real climate action with more renewable energy
