To the Queensland government,
From droughts to bushfires, Queenslanders are living with the impacts of climate damage here and now.
Queensland can be a leader in clean energy. We could be powering our homes, our towns and our economy with good energy and new jobs, powered by the wind and the sun.
If Queenslanders own our clean energy, we can create thousands of jobs we can be proud of and bring down power prices.
We are calling on you to make public investment in big renewable projects a priority, and act now to:
- Get on with climate action: set stronger pollution reduction targets, and rapidly replace coal-fired power with clean energy
- Build publicly-owned renewables, starting construction of at least one large project by mid-2020.
- Plan and fund a fair transition for workers in the energy sector.
Let's get on with it!

We really need to get on with this! Let do something good for all of us!
Cancel the project granted to the despicable environmental vandals Adani
We should be using elec vehicles run by renewable solar power, not pumping polluted fumes into the atmosphere, causing more future devastation. With no change in our efforts to positively reduce pollution, then next summer season, we can expect a worst fire season than we’ve just been through!
Let’s e leaders not laggers.
Time is running out. Time to set an example and take positive constructive action for our future generations.
For the sake of a handful of jobs, coal is not worth it. Please just do what has to be done and get on with making our country better prepared for the looming crisis. Start looking after the environment, protecting it from industry and land clearing. We need to start finding morally uncompromised way of staying ahead and not always selling out our most valuable resources ie our native wildlife and environment.
We need to act on climate change. Fossil fuels are a joke !
