To the Queensland government,

From droughts to bushfires, Queenslanders are living with the impacts of climate damage here and now.

Queensland can be a leader in clean energy. We could be powering our homes, our towns and our economy with good energy and new jobs, powered by the wind and the sun.

If Queenslanders own our clean energy, we can create thousands of jobs we can be proud of and bring down power prices.

We are calling on you to make public investment in big renewable projects a priority, and act now to:

  1. Get on with climate action: set stronger pollution reduction targets, and rapidly replace coal-fired power with clean energy
  2. Build publicly-owned renewables, starting construction of at least one large project by mid-2020
  3. Plan and fund a fair transition for workers in the energy sector

Let's get on with it!

Forget the Federal Government…it is every State for itself! And we could become an energy supplier to the rest of Australia and our near neighbours with clean energy!

Considering our potential for solar energy farming, it is simply immoral for us to continue using non-renewable resources. We could be producing energy for the world!

Climatic global warming is the major threat to our future existence with burning of fossil fuels being the major cause.
Changing to renewable solar and wind energy and closing down coal fired power is the wise option.

It is ironic that Queensland, historically known as the Sunshine State, in these times of global transition to renewables is lagging the world and remains locked into thermal coal mining.
For the environment, the health of the world and the economy the transition out of fossil fuels needs to be fast tracked.
With 84% of people in th Australia Talks survey citing climate change as their number 1 concern, this is sure to be an election issue in 2020.

No Adani, No foreign dirty coal with dubious environmental track record. People care about our future earth not money, surplus budgets. More jobs will be created with clean energy. Wake Up.
