we need Government action now

In this day and age and with the Queensland climate the way it is, Queenslanders will thrive on a clean energy policy. However, it is time for ministers to step up to the plate and move this initiative along, I mean you have been elected to support Queenslanders haven’t you?

Climate action has to become our major focus after our shocking, alarming summer. So little time left to address all the problems. Start with stopping the Adani mine from proceeding.

Time for change. Be brave.

Don’t be like many places, and take 30 years to decide whether Bundaberg needs an International Airport, and still have made no decision today. Pathetic!

There are no scientists or economists of any credibility recommending the development of further coal mines or gas development in Qld— quite the opposite. Why does the Qld Government therefore wantonly ignore the advice of the scientific and economist communities? The damage to the economy and our life sustaining environment is threatened by this reckless government action. The community is not going to stand by and watch our political leaders destroy us and our homes and businesses in order to appease the cashed up fossil fuel industry propped up by unjustifiable taxpayer subsidies and the vile anti-science lies of the NewsCorp propaganda machine and fascist shock jock nobodies. The community is being pushed to the edge by irresponsible government policies on energy and climate change. We are sick and tired of the lies and we are very angry.

Be on the right side of history, get on with climate action. Please. Now.

It is time to significantly reduce our Carbon Foorprint employing strategic strategies that include (but are not limited to) public information and education, the use of clean energy, pollution reduction, and worker training initiatives.

As a 30+ year educator I know the importance of our children’s future, understand economic realities and the need to ensure quality initiatives that work towards short (and most importantly) longer term goals … employing SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Results oriented, Timebount) strategies and backmap these from stragtegic goals to ensure reaching targets. Use our great nations brain trust, and the ready commitment of so many at this time, to model authentic, meaningful GLOBAL Leadership!

Scientific literacy, caring about the environment, wanting to protect our children’s future, taking responsibility, and accepting accountability … YOU can make a significant/important difference so needed at this time, build trust and consumer confidence in Australia’s honest commitment to cut pollution and increase clean energy technologies and supply, and created a much brighter future than we see today.

Begin the REAL work to cut climate pollution, reduce carbon emissions, and increase clean energy availablity/use… you will be astounded how many can and will follow and what POSITIVE short and LONG term benefits appear. You are Australia’s futures stewards… show courage and commitment to doing what is needed and right.
