This event starts at 6pm AEDT – that's a start time of 6pm in Victoria, New South Wales and Tasmania, 5.30pm in South Australia, 5pm in Queensland, 4.30pm in Northern Territory and 3pm in Western Australia.
Many people who are concerned about climate change – people we all know, like friends, family and colleagues – are unsure how to speak up and take impactful, collective action on this issue.
We can help change that through conversations that motivate others to take climate action.
You'll get briefed on current campaign opportunities and tips for building the movement, meet others in the ACF community, and support each other as we invite our concerned friends and family to raise their voices at this critical moment!
Here's what to expect:
-
Strategy. Join guest speakers PJ Jacobs from ACF’s Climate Campaign Program, as they speak to the importance of engaging people who are concerned about climate change but unsure how to speak up and take impactful, collective action on this issue – plus why this audience is so crucial right now and why conversations are key to reaching them.
-
Conversation skills and community building. Hone your conversation skills alongside others in the community, as we explore tips and tricks for effective conversations – and support one another to identify who in our lives we’ll reach out to and what to say.
-
Put your skills to use! We’ll all pick up our phones and get chatting with the people in our lives. Parents, grandparents, siblings, friends, colleagues .... catch up with the people that matter to you, then invite them to raise their voices along with thousands of others around the country. We have a number of handy resources to support your conversations.
