Our May meeting will be a special "Citizen science" event at Manly Dam. We will be joining our friends at Save Manly Dam Catchment Committee for a wonderful morning of citizen science, looking for and logging native species of flora and fauna. Manly Dam is home to many wonderful species, including the Climbing Galaxia, an ancient species of walking fish!

We will be using the "iNaturalist" app to log the species, and will offer some training beforehand if you've unfamiliar with the app.

This data is shared with scientists who can use it to inform their research projects, and provide useful data for campaigners defending Manly Dam from threats such as overdevelopment.

When: Sunday May 2, 2021
Time:  10am - 12pm
Where: Manly Dam (Manly Warringah War Memorial State Park), King St, Manly Vale

This is a great way to help protect Manly Dam's threatened species and make new friends along the way.

Feel free to share this event with friends and family!
