Chisholm Vic: Join the Great Southern BioBlitz 2022 in Blackburn

Join in the Great Southern Bioblitz (GSB) with us in the Blackburn Creeklands.

A BioBlitz is an intense period of biological surveying in an attempt tp record all the living species within a designated area.   Here’s more  Background and some FAQ.

The aim is to increase biodiversity awareness through citizen science.  Get involved by using the iNaturalist app to capture photos of wild flora and fauna in local parks and reserves. 

If you are not already a member of the iNaturalist community, in preparation for the event we request you :

1. Add INaturalist to your phone (from your Appstore), Ipad OR computer here: https://www.inaturalist.org/
2. Watch this short tutorial from INaturalist (1:24min): https://www.inaturalist.org/pages/video+tutorials
3. Open the APP and Setup up a username for yourself.

We will meet at the entrance to Kalang Park off Pakenham St, Blackburn.  Once you have joined the Great Southern Bioblitz 2022 Whitehorse, Vic, Australia project and are confident with using the app you can enjoy walking around Kalang Park and the adjacent Blacks Walk to record plants and animals.
