Join us for a Saturday afternoon picnic and guided walk along a section of Gardiners Creek which has a variety of vegetation ranging from original remnants, through plantings of varying age and quality. Further along is a wetlands, where rakali (australian water rats) are sometimes seen.
Our expert guide will be Neville Walsh, recently retired senior conservation botanist from the Royal Botanic Gardens.
We plan to meet around 1pm in Nettleton Park, Glen Iris near the playground for a picnic, then start our walk around 2pm. You are welcome to attend just the walk if you wish.
