Have you been looking for an opportunity to connect with nature and with other nature lovers near you?

This Sunday, join your local ACF Community group, the Kenmore Bears Junior Australian Football Club, Cubberla Witton Catchments Network Inc and the Brisbane City Council for a family friendly tree planting event in Chapel Hill.

What: Kenmore Bears Junior AFC community tree planting event
When: Sunday 7 May from 8am - 11am
Where: 70 Hepworth St, Chapel Hill, QLD

Join us to help plant 400 trees beside Kenmore Bears AFL Football Ground to protect the creek banks from flooding and restore native vegetation.

When you show up, you’ll be joined by Kenmore Bears Junior AFC families, Brisbane West Conservation Network group members, and volunteers from the Cubberla Witton Catchments Network Inc.

To start the day, we’ll run a brief warm-up and then a demonstration on how to plant. If anyone arrives late, we’ll offer some quick on the go instructions so they know what to do.

Wear sturdy covered shoes, hat and sun protection, and bring along a re-fillable drink bottle. Tree holes will be dug beforehand, all tools provided and Kenmore Bears Junior AFC will maintain the trees throughout their lives.

As a thank you for participating on the day, a sausage sizzle and morning tea will be provided.

Sign up on this page so we know how many people to expect.

Interested but can't make the time? Register here and we’ll let you know about future events like this.

Happy planting,

Matt
