Championing the Southern Right Whale: Wild at Art Showcase Opening Event

Come and join us for this very special event to champion the southern right whale! 

It's estimated that there are only 270 Southern Right Whales left in the South Eastern Australian population. That's terrifying. 

The good news is, you can help us fight for stronger nature laws to protect the Southern Right Whale and other species at risk of extinction. 

ACF Eastern Sydney has been working hard to plan a joyful, beautiful event where we celebrate our community of people committed to protecting nature. In this wonderful Community for Creatures moment, we will come together and stand up for the animals in our own big backyard.

Here is some of what to expect: 

• An exhibition of artworks featuring the Southern Right Whale, and other submissions from the Wild at Art competition (Australia's biggest art competition for kids) 
• An arts and crafts station for everyone to contribute to a huge banner on the day
• Face painting
• Live music with local musician MYMA 
• A line up of local politicians 

We hope you can join us! 

The Yalagang Room opens out onto the courtyard of the Bondi Pavilion. 

It is on the left if you enter from Campbell Parade, and on the right if you enter from Queen Elizabeth Drive.
