Join us as we bring the platy-project to Cattai Creek!

The Australian Conservation Foundation are hosting a nationwide citizen-science event in the month of September, and the ACF Greater Western Sydney group are looking forward to bringing it to Cattai Creek. ACF, in partnership with scientists at UNSW, are asking local groups and individuals to get out to their local waterways and try to spot platypus. This data will then give scientists a greater understanding of current platypus populations, and will contribute to broadening our knowledge of one Australia's most-loved native animals.

All are welcome, there is no required level of experience or involvement in the group. We actively encourage new environmentalists and families at this event, it should be a lot of fun and a great introduction to conservation. While the platypus can at times be elusive, platypus do call Cattai Creek home and so we are quite optimistic about seeing a few platypus on the day.

We will be meeting at Newman Road, Glenorie, right next to Cattai Creek at 5:00PM. We cannot wait to see you!
