This week we've learned that tech company Siemens is considering a dirty deal with Adani.
Adani needs a company to install signalling on the 200km railway it will use to transport coal to the coast. Only a few companies in Australia can do this work – and all except Siemens have ruled it out!
Call any (or all!) of these Siemens offices and ask them to leave a message for Jeff Connolly (CEO Siemens Australia & Pacific) and Raphaelle Guerineau (CEO Siemens Mobility Australia & New Zealand). Ask them to rule out working on the climate-wrecking project.
Report back on your call so we can count our impact.

3. Siemens Corporate Enquiries – 137 222
Calling tips
-
Be friendly and polite! Our concern is with Siemens' decision to work with Adani, not its employees.
-
These calls don't have to be long – the sheer number of calls is what will have an impact, so feel free to make it quick so you can get through as many as you can!
-
You may be asked to direct your message to their website – you can politely decline that, and leave your message with the staff member you are speaking to.
-
Ask directly for Siemens to rule out work on Adani's coal mine and rail project. Climate damage is here, now – we must end digging and burning coal.
Talking points
Remember, you don't need to be an expert on climate damage or anything else! You have a right to make this call and share your concerns about Siemens supporting a climate-wrecking project. Here are some talking points to help your call:
-
Share your support for Siemens committing to the Paris Agreement to keep global temperature rise well below 2°C and pursue efforts to limit it to 1.5°C. Remind Siemens that helping Adani dig up and export coal for burning is incompatible with the Paris Agreement.
-
Mention that burning coal is the biggest cause of climate damage – and the Adani mine would open the Galilee Basin to one of the biggest expansions of coal mining on planet Earth.
-
Suggest that by backing clean energy and refusing to work on dangerous projects like coal mines, companies like Siemens can provide solutions to the climate crisis – not be part of the problem.

Lady seemed sympathetic, said sure a lot, took my name and allied me to waffle on about climate change for a bit! 😁
My name was taken by head office. The Mobility Melbourne Office took my name, phone number and a short message (she was very abrupt) I remained polite and thanked her for passing my message on to management
I asked receptionist to pass my message to management. I said I’m Ringing in a Siemens phone that I bought because eco oriented and that is the reputation the company has but they are risking that by working with Adani as well as the future of our planet and I asked them to reconsider working with Adani. She was polite and said she would pass on.
I spoke to someone at the Melbourne office who unfortunately wouldn’t permit me to say anything. She asked was I calling in disapproval of Adani and I answered yes. She took my name but interrupted each time I attempted to say anything before hanging up on me. Pretty yuk really.
The switchboard was polite but just took a message – had been clearly been instructed to say no-one was available. Louise
I left my name twice although only the Mobility Melbourne Office actually asked for it plus my mobile number. Received cordially and hopefully passed on to management.
I got some very obnoxious female who was reluctant to take my message and even more so to take my details. I got an abrupt “I’ll pass your message on”, despite not actually having given it! She refused to give her name. I was very polite and non aggressive. Quite clearly obvious that they are not interested!
Had to leave a message which apparently will be added to other messages re Adani.
It will be not good for your business, when we are decking Mother Earth. Please keep that in mind.
Very well. A polite reception, and a promise to pass on my concerns to management. I said that I was concerned that Siemens decision is affecting their image badly. That in the past I had been proud to say that I was one of the people who ran Siemens Science Experiences to persuade 14 year olds to check out Science options at Uni, but now this was no longer one of my experiences that I boasted about at dinner parties because the brand Siemens was now associated with dirty energy.
Surely you must care about the health of our future without water what do we have and giving adani the rights to the amount that he’s been given for free is insanity
Don’t be stupid – can Adani
I spoke to someone at the switch board who said they would pass on my comments and concern to management. I was polite and asked them to cease any work with Adani’s coal mine and rail project and talked about Adani’s affect on climate change.
I spoke to a receptionist and made a few comments.
Calle.Mr Wilson 5x, got message bank everytime and left mesagfe.
Also messaged him and emailed Australia and Germany…
Fingers crossed they will come to their senses.
I rang & left a message with Siemens Mobility Head Office.
I asked Siemens to cut all ties with the Adani Carmichael Coal Mine – for very reasons which were stated by myself.
They were sympathetic and the receptionist said she would pass on our concerns. Good call.
Receptionist. Pleasantly asked for anyone in management. Obviously not available. She politely asked the reason for call. To discuss the grave mistake they are making should they choose to work for Adani.
I called Head Office and also Corporate Enquiries. Both staff members had obviously had numerous calls from us before and politely promised to pass on our concerns.
They were polite and offered to pass on my message. I asked them to make a public statement to rule out working with Adani.
very pleasant woman answered call and listened to me making the point about commitment to Paris agreement being incompatible with working to help Adani open up a mammoth new coal mine in the Galilee basin etc..
