As local groups we’re working on structuring ourselves in a way that helps us achieve our big goals to protect nature and climate. People are taking up roles in their groups that are focused on changing the story, fixing the system and building people power.

Through July we’ll be holding inductions for these roles. This webinar is designed for people who want to help develop their groups’ efforts around advocacy and campaigns.

Why do groups need people taking on roles focused on Advocacy and Campaigns?

These roles enable us to wield our power to influence decision makers, and involve:

  • Supporting your group to develop a local campaign strategy in alignment with a national strategy.
  • Developing a relationship with decision makers in your electorate
  • Coordinating your group’s efforts to engage with your decision makers (e.g. lobbying meetings, bird-dogging, candidate forums etc)
  • Campaign tactics

SOUND LIKE YOU?

Do you like:

  • Researching the policy and politics of an issue
  • Helping your group to think through political strategy
  • Coming up with creative tactics that help meet your strategy goals
  • Engaging with decision makers

Then this is the webinar for you!

The webinar starts at 6:30pm AEST, and it goes for 90 minutes. You will receive a confirmation email with the log-in details when you RSVP with your details above.
