We’re growing our people-power in BWCN to change the story and fix the system from the inside out!
Following last week’s cancellation of our ACF community gathering due to heavy rain, we are very pleased to announce that the meeting has been rescheduled to:
Wednesday 26 February 2020
(overlooking the Akuna Oval playing fields)
This will be an exciting meeting and we invite everyone, new sign-ups especially, to attend.
As you may know, the Queensland state election is scheduled for Saturday 31 October 2020, and ACF headquarters have developed a Queensland Climate Campaign strategy for us to focus on.
So, on Wednesday we will start planning our activities. The form that these activities take is largely up to us. Will we:
· choose to run a big public forum?
· create a large mural/banner?
· do something else entirely different?
Whatever we decide to do, we will be seeking to engage with others in the community on widely and deeply felt issues. ‘Mapping’ our community will be an important component of a successful campaign. There will be a part for everyone to play.
We look forward to your attendance for as little or as much of the meeting as you can. All ideas/contributions are welcome, and if you could let us know in advance that you will or hope to be there, so much the better.
We will have some other business to discuss but will keep this to a minimum.
ACF Community BWCN is part of a network of independently organised, volunteer-run groups in the ACF community. ACF will pass on your contact details to the host for the purpose of running the event
