The Renewables Roadshow is coming to Mt. Coot-tha Botanical Gardens on Tuesday 22 November, and you're invited!
With the Queensland government pushing for Adani's polluting Carmichael coal mine to go ahead and the recent closure of coal-fired power stations like Hazelwood in Victoria, there’s never been a more important time to accelerate the transition to a future powered by clean energy.
Our federal government currently has no plan for clean energy in Australia after 2020 – that's just four years away! We can’t keep waiting, so we’ve made a plan for them.
It's called the Homegrown Power Plan – a comprehensive policy roadmap designed by some of the brightest minds in the business. It shows how we can power our country with 100% clean energy by 2030.
We're also launching our exciting new sun-powered Queensland campaign with Solar Citizens, Get Up!, 350.org Australia, Australian Marine Conservation Society and Energetic Communities.
Speakers include:
Luke Reade
President of Energetic Communities, an organisation driving the development of community owned renewable energy projects in Queensland.
Claire O'Rourke
Solar Citizens National Director, who will present the Homegrown Power Plan showing how we can power Australia's homes and businesses with 100% clean energy by 2030.
Mark Bailey MP
Queensland Minister for Energy & Water Supply, and Member for Yeerongpilly.
The forum will also include a Q&A discussion and the opportunity to take action together.
Join us as we dive into the plan to shift Australia to clean energy by 2030.
