Brisbane Northside, Qld: Community Conversation: Transport

In October, we continue our conversation about development in our region and what role our group should play. 

At the last meeting, the topic was housing and development. That can't be addressed without also considering transport.

Opposition to higher density is usually based on the assumption of a car for every adult, leading to increased traffic congestion and streets clogged with parked cars. Yet spreading outwards doesn't just mean land cleared for housing, it means land cleared for roads and increasing traffic coming through all of our suburbs.

If we are to go higher density to reduce land clearing and save habitat, what changes to our transport systems are necessary?
