The Northern Beaches ACF Community Group is running a regular Book Club to connect with people of all ages and backgrounds on all things climate change, nature, and our local environment.
This month's book is The Future We Choose: Surviving the Climate Crisis by Christiana Figueres and Tom Rivett-Carnac
The Future We Choose was written by two of the authors of the Paris Climate Agreement and outlines two scenarios for the future: how life on Earth will be by 2050 if we fail to meet the Paris Agreement climate targets; or how it will look and feel to live in a carbon-neutral, regenerative world. Described as “one of the most inspiring books I have ever read” by Yuval Harari it features ten things we can do today to make a difference.
We live in a beautiful part of the world, and there are so many opportunities for us to take action in any way we can, and this Book Club will be a space where we can discover, explore and discuss new ideas and connect over something that affects us all.
