Lodge a missing creature alert with your Member of Parliament

Missing_Creature_Report__600px_SouthernBlueWhale.jpg

Southern blue whales are truly enormous. Their hearts are the size of a small car and their heartbeats can be detected 3 kilometres away. They sing to each other in our vast oceans, where their whale songs are like low rippling earthquakes.

But they’re threatened by chemical and sound pollution, habitat loss, fishing, and climate change.

Will you lodge a missing creature alert with your local Member of Parliament? Tell them we need strong national environment laws to protect the places and wildlife we love – and ask them to raise this with their party leader.

Fill out the webform with your name and why you care. We'll print your name and message on a special missing creature alert and post it to your local MP. If you prefer, you can print and post it yourself.

These companies are ruining our environments to suit their own selfish & self shared holders needs. Disgraceful. Go clean up your mess – stop using public money without consent.

Animals have a right to live and survive on this planet, like we do. We have the power to stop destroying this world and start caring and helping all animals

Everyone acts like just one person wont make a difference – imagine if we all acted like just one person could.
Be that one person! Its so overwhelming to see and know so many people do whats right only for the greed of a few to continually tear it to pieces.
Can you do whats right PLEASE!?!

We need stronger enviromental laws so we can keep this beautiful planet for a long time. With the current laws our planet will die and therefore so will we!!!

Do it so our future generations will thank us. Your legacy as a polítican will standout amongst the normal behaviour we are used to seeing.

Whales are sacred creatures. Please protect them NOW.
THIS IS WHAT YOU ARE PAID FOR. Not to find loopholes for corporations or other priorities. We need more marine parks and regulation and criminal charges for those who endanger.

australia used to be a leader in climate change and conservation efforts and no longer is doing anything to protect animals or environments at all. show us you care

The environment gets ignored because the consequences are not always right in our faces, however ignoring the environment will lead to greatest of all consequences. The planet is not un-breakable, and we cannot afford to push it to the edge.

We need stronger environmental laws and to take more care of our native creatures and their environments because if we rip it all out for a quick buck we will lose the constant billions from our tourism industry and all the over seas visitors.

We, the Australian people and the human race in general, will have to face and subsequently try to reverse in order to be able to live on this planet comfortably. This is no longer a problem for humanity centuries from now, but in this lifetime. The blood will be on YOUR hands if you don’t ACTIVELY do something to stop this. Please pick this up with your party leader!

If animals as big as these are near extinction it shows the length & breadth of the problem.
We need stronger environmental laws to protect ALL 2000 Australian endangered species. They are as important as any one of us.
Sandra 2018-08-16 16:27:46 +1000
We are becoming a more environmentally conscious nation, especially youth and young adults. What will be left for us if the people currently in power, choose to destroy our important, ancient ecology? What will be left for us once the damage has been done. Stand with us, use your power to voice the beliefs of Australians. We want an ecologically conscious and environmentally sustainable nation. We want it now.

No whales = no fertilised sea plants = less plankton = less fish = less larger animals and human shipping = hunger. Less plankton also = more carbon in the air = increased climate change. Please do something to help like I’m trying to :).

they are living, we are living. Tel me why you think ITS OK to do something that is so ethically wrong. The sea provides us with life and to be ruining it – ruining the food chain I practically killing purselves off. We need the ocean. We need our whales

We need stronger environmental laws because I don’t want to tell my children that we made 100s of thousands of species extict.
We need stronger environmental laws because I want to live in a world that thrives and adapts rather than decimates. We need stronger environmental laws because when humans inevitably destroy ourselves something must live on and it needs to be what was alrealy here.

Wake up. Stop FACILITATING the EXTINCTION and DESTRUCTION of nature’s precious creations. ALL animals and plants hold VALUE to Earth’s future (not ‘our’ planet, merely a place we reside upon due to the process of evolution). If YOU are NOT ACTIVELY working to STRENGTHEN Australia’s environmental protection laws then YOU are DIRECTLY contributing to this ATROCITY. YOU, our governing body, will be RESPONSIBLE for the inevitable repercussions WE, the Australian people and the human race in general, will ALL have to face and subsequently try to REVERSE in order to LIVE; not in centuries from now, but in THIS lifetime. WAKE UP!

Whales cannot speak of the troubles they face. Start learning that humans are not the superior species on earth and rather we are all equal. Stop exploiting start conserving, put a stop to single use plastic before its too late

It terrifies me that as a nation we are more concerned by the short term profit gained by privatisation, be the creation of mining coal ports in extremely vulnerable marine areas and the reduction of marine space for commercial fishing.
I refuse to live in a world where we have annihilated all living forms aprt from ourselves and farmed animals.
I want and demand greater protection and conservation for all animals and in particular marine animals.
