You’re invited to join with members of the ACF community at a peaceful, fun and creative in-person action outside the Hyatt Regency Sydney when registration for the Australian Banking Association’s 2022 conference kicks off.

This gathering of the heavyweights of finance and politics is the perfect stage for us to push the big banks to invest better – in climate solutions, not coal and gas.

The Australian Banking Association is holding its inaugural annual conference with an eye-catching list of invitees – Federal Treasurer Josh Frydenberg, Governor of the Reserve Bank Philip Lowe, and executives from the big four banks.

By managing billions of dollars, these decision-makers have a big impact on the future of the economy, environment and community through what they decide to fund and not fund.

With the conference dubbed ‘Planning for Tomorrow’, together we’ll put forward a plan for the big banks that’s good for people and planet:

  1. Commit to fully exit coal, gas and oil by 2030
  2. Take no part in new or expanding coal, gas or oil projects.
  3. Invest in the climate solutions that are here and ready to take off, like big batteries, renewable energy and pollution-free transport.

Hope to see you there! You're also welcome to join us and other community members for an optional debrief over a coffee after this event.

For community safety and to meet government guidelines, please only attend if you're double vaccinated against Covid-19. Practice social distancing when at the event (its outside and has plenty of room), and don't attend if displaying flu-like symptoms.
