ANZ is a major sponsor of the Australian Open: a cultural highlight that promotes fitness, community, and the importance of getting outside. ANZ is also a funding new and expansionary coal, oil or gas projects, which are turbocharging the climate crisis and putting our sports at risk.
This is not a game. ANZ has a climate problem.
Due to increasing heatwaves, the Open and other matches are at risk of cancellation, our champions and fans at risk of heatstroke.
They need to hear from you that you want to see ANZ shift the billions of dollars they are responsible for out of burning and digging fossil fuels and into solutions that will protect us from droughts, floods and heatwaves.

"As concerned citizens, customers, shareholders, and employees, we call on ANZ to stop financing the digging and burning of fossil fuels. The first steps are:
- divesting from thermal coal by 2030 or earlier;
- divesting from oil & gas in line with the Paris climate agreement;
- not investing in new or expansion coal, gas & oil projects.
Burning fossil fuels is the biggest driver of climate damage. We are concerned about the climate crisis and want action."

I am an ANZ customer and would like the ANZ to be proactive in care for Australia’s future by stopping financing the digging and burning of fossil fuels.
We all need to act to reduce climate change… ultimately, it will be the best outcome in every way.
We should only be investing in renewables and not in coal or any fossil fuels that add to our greenhouse gases. I will not do any business with companies that invest in thermal or any other coal.
NO means NO to dirty fossil fuels.
If not now, when? It’s time
I am sure the bank can concern itself with homes and activism.
Even BHP is reducing its fossil fuel investment so why is ANZ so heavily upholding fossil fuels in today’s awareness of the need to transition to renewable energy investment?
Please stop supporting the coal industry.
Fortunately I don’t have ANZ shares.
Why are you denying all the scientific evidence and not getting out of supporting fossil fuels?
You cannot eat or drink coal. You cannot live without water. But we still pour money into depriving ourselves of water and farmland when alternative energy is available. We are allowing millions of tonnes of ash from burning coal to pollute the earth as well. Why?
