With your help, we stopped all possible public and external funding. But Adani are desperate – last week, while Queensland was on fire and Sydney was flooding they announced they will fund their mine with the Adani family’s own money.

Water is vital in this drought-stricken continent, yet Adani wants to take unlimited groundwater for 60 years, for free. And they want billions of litres every year from a river in Central Queensland to wash their coal and stop the dust. The damage that this will do cannot be undone. We must act today.
Here’s the thing – Adani can’t operate its climate-wrecking mine without this water and a pipeline to suck it up. They can’t build a pipeline without legal approval. So let’s stop this pipeline from happening and in turn, #StopAdani.

- The Environment Minister did not apply the crucial ‘water trigger’ when she assessed the pipeline infrastructure for Adani’s mine.
- She said because the infrastructure is a pipeline, and not the mine itself, the water trigger doesn’t apply. But the pipeline is being built to directly support Adani’s climate-wrecking coal mine.
It’s the 11th hour in this campaign. It’s time to pull out all the stops. Our current government has failed the people, giving Adani the the green light they need to further plunge our living world into chaos.
