Burnley Park, on the banks of the Yarra, is one of the largest stretches of green space in the Richmond area, and a favourite with families.

It’s home to the historic Corroboree Tree – a huge, ancient dead River Red Gum which served for centuries as a marker of clan territories and a place for gatherings and celebrations.

Unfortunately the park’s riverbanks are also a hotspot for litter!

That’s why ACF Community Inner Melbourne is joining forces with Richmond Rotary to clean up the Burnley Park riverbanks this Sunday 6 March. Can you join us?

This is our first collaboration with Richmond Rotary, who are kindly providing a barbecue for volunteers after the clean up.

We are always interested in working collaborating with groups outside the formal environment movement who share our concern. It shows our community that love and care for nature is not a narrow interest, but a widely shared common value.

We'd love to have you join us on the day too!

This is a COVIDSafe volunteer event - For information on the current COVID-19 settings in Metropolitan Melbourne please visit - Directions issued by Victoria’s Chief Health Officer | health.vic.gov.au

It's up to all of us to slow the spread of COVID-19. Please stay home and do not attend this event if you feel unwell or if you are showing any COVID symptoms (fever, shortness of breath, flu-like symptoms such as coughing, sore throat or fatigue). Additionally, do not attend the event if you have been diagnosed with COVID-19, or have had direct contact with an individual diagnosed with or suspected to have COVID-19 in the past 14 days.
