ACF Inner Melbourne (ACFIM) and ACF Boroondara Joint Pub Meal and Planning Session for 2024

As a local ACF supporter, you are invited to join our annual pub get together to plan ACF Inner Melbourne's priorities and actions for 2024.This year's planning session will bring together ACF Inner Melbourne and ACF Boroondara Community Groups to identify practical ways we can mutually help deliver ACF campaigns and events.

It's an exciting time to advocate for Nature and a safe climate and there is much we can do to in Inner Melbourne.

As a small volunteer's group, we have achieved some great things over the past year - including a monthly Native revegetation along with Melbourne Girls College, an annual Clean Up Australia event focused along the Yarra River,  a Clothing For Climate event in Collingwood highlighting the impacts of fast fashion on global warming and Nature, a combined ACFIM /Boroondara National Tree Day event again in association with Melbourne Girls College and with the backing of Dr Monique Ryan and Senator Janet Rice who attended and agreed to advocate for stronger protections for threatened native species under the proposed EPBC Act reforms and events to sight, document and advocate for threatened habitats of the Platypus.

These existing networks will help shape our actions in 2024 so there will be lots of great opportunities to take meaningful action!

After our meal, our ACF Community Organiser - Carly - will talk about ACF's main campaigns and possible actions we might like to take during the year.

No special knowledge or experience is required and all ideas are welcome.
