ACF Inner Melbourne/ ACF Boroondara/ Melbourne Girls College National Tree Day event

Join us on National Tree Day 🌳 Our day will start with a smoking ceremony, Welcome to Country and a description of the Melbourne Girls College Myrnong-Birrarung re-vegetation site by students.

Paul Sinclair - Campaigns Director of ACF, Dr Monique Ryan MP for Kooyong, and Victorian Greens Senator Janet Rice will speak on how we can act together to address this climate and nature emergency, including stronger national environment laws. They will be the first to plant a native tree geared to provide habitat for the Grey Headed Flying Fox and the Greater Glyder Possum that helps out Nature so much via their pollination role.

Tree planting by everyone will then follow.... and a vegan BBQ is planned to conclude the event.

Dress for the weather. BYO water bottle. Toilets at the school.

Join us at this special site beside the Yarra River to enhance the native vegetation even further there!
