ACF Darebin Platypus Picnic

If you go down to the park today you're in for a big surprise ...
... today's the day for our Platypus Picnic!

2022 has been a huge year for ACF Darebin, getting out about and connected in our community with nature events from water health to creek walks, forest advocacy and an urban food farm workshop.

One of our favourites was platypus spotting during the nationwide Platy Project in September. We were really lucky to meet a couple of lovely local platties at Wombat Bend.



So to celebrate the end of a big year for the group and for climate action, join us for a casual late afternoon picnic down near the mighty Birrarung/Yarra River followed by platy spotting around the Ruffey Trail suspension bridge at dusk.

Platypus don't tend to RSVP but make sure you do! Please bring a plate to share if you can, byo drinks and please bring other creature comforts you need to enjoy the day (chairs etc) :)
