ACF Brisbane South & Logan October Monthly Meeting

Come along and join our monthly meeting at Garden City Library at 3.30pm on Sunday, October 23, 2022. ACF Brisbane South & Logan has been busy lately. We have

• Organised a Nature Challenge at Tygum Lagoon on August 20. People of all ages walked around this tranquil waterway in Logan City and answered questions about the local wildlife and plants
• Run stalls at local markets to promote the ACF Together We Can campaign. We were part of the hugely successful Logan Eco Action Festival on June 5
• Promoted renewable energy at the Brisbane Electric Vehicle Experience on April 23
• Joined with other concerned community groups for the Walk for Toondah on May 8. Thousands of people turned out to protest against plans to build 3600 units in high rise towers in Moreton Bay Marine Park

We have plenty more planned for his year, including a Karawatha Forest Park Guided Bushwalk with Dr Richard Noske scheduled for November, monthly bush rambles, and film nights. The escalating climate emergency means now is to the time for you to get involved and put pressure on our elected representatives to phase out fossil fuels and transition to a green economy.
