Hi there,
We wanted to let you know that this event has been cancelled.
ACF have made the difficult decision to cancel all in-person events happening this month, due to advice around Coronavirus (COVID-19). Therefore, your planned event will not be going ahead.
In times of great uncertainty and crisis, we look after each other. Our community is full of determined, kind, compassionate people who step up to look after each other and the places we love.
To keep each other and vulnerable people safe, we can’t come together in person at the moment.
We know that the need for solutions to the climate and extinction crisis will not go away – so it’s time to respond creatively, work collaboratively and take care. We’ll be in touch soon with ways you can stay involved and connected.
Thanks and take care,
The ACF team
It's time to go bush at the wonderful Daisy Hill Koala Centre. We have arranged a private talk with one of the centre's koala handlers. After that we are going for a short and easy walk on one of the trails in the Daisy Hill Conservation Park. If we get lucky, we might spot a koala on two in the wild. Then we will gather for a yummy lunch under the tall gum trees at the park's picnic area.
Here are the details
When: Sunday, March 22, 2020. Be there by 9am. Our talk starts at 9.30am
Where: Daisy Hill Koala Centre, Daisy Hill Road, Daisy Hill. Meet at amphitheatre. It is on the left near the front entrance to the Koala Centre
What to bring: A hat, good walking shoes, a chair, plate, cup, cutlery, healthy things to eat and drink
ACF Brisbane South & Logan has a busy program of events planned this year. We will be doing market stalls, movie nights, letter writing sessions and much more as part of the ACF campaign ahead of the State Election in October. Our aim is to make our politicians ditch fossils fuels and transform Queensland into a renewable energy superpower
We will be telling you all about our activities at this event. But this will also be a chance to meet like-minded people, de-stress and connect with nature
Hope to see you there
