Melbourne Girls' College Sustainability Collective alongside ACF Inner Melbourne and ACF Boroondara Community groups welcome you to this National Tree Day event with Planet Ark!
Just like last years' successful event, we’ll be planting native trees and learning about the revegetation efforts at the beautiful Melbourne Girls' College Birrarung garden, which is supported by ACF Inner Melbourne's monthly planting & tree care days.
This free event will include:
BYO water bottle (drinking water provided) and a pair of gardening gloves.
DIRECTIONS - Enter through Gate 2 of Melbourne Girls College (55 Yarra Blvd, Richmond) and follow the signs towards the Yarra river OR 50m south of the MGC Boathouse on the Yarra path.
TRANSPORT - There is car & bike parking along Yarra Blvd. However the school hall is booked for a religious service on a Sunday morning so be prepared to park further up from the school. Good public transport options can get you to this site. Just a short walk from either the 48 or 75 trams along Bridge Road or the 70 tram in Swan St, or get a train to Burnley station.
Get your hands dirty in the good earth as you plant new native revegetation as a local community. ALL WELCOME!!
