Professor Keefe is an active researcher in the field of mucositis (the oral and gastrointestinal tract damage following chemotherapy and radiotherapy). Her knowledge of oncology, service planning, safety and quality, supportive care research, and allocation of research funding inform her activity of the Board of Cancer Council SA.
